Well, my big event is now all but said and done. Thank goodness no one ended up like this at the end of the night. Everything was perfect! Good friends, food and times were had by all. My only regret was I wish it could have lasted longer. It was like when you get married, you never have enough time to eat all the food and mingle with all the people. I loved every moment! I have to send out a huge THANK YOU to everyone who made my special day possible: Dwanda and Adaline, Vic and Tif, Barbara and Roy, and of course Shane (my culinary hubby) I do not know what I would have done without you, probably be committed to Cherry Hospital or had a Maria Cary exhaustion breakdown. Again, thank you to everyone who helped and attended the open house. Pictures will follow shortly...................I think?

On the FIRST DAY of Christmas my two favorite people gave to me....
Okay, are you all ready? You absolutely will not believe this one. My two favorite sisters have enrolled me in a gift-a-day for the next tweleve plus days until Christmas and beyond. You could have knocked me over with a feather when they announced to me they were coming by on Sunday to deliver something. I should have known they were up to no good, when they called and asked me to open the garage door so they could make their drop off. They poped out of their buick and quickly unloaded the contents of their car, in several loads mind you, into my garage. I never know what to expect next from them, but I cherish all that they do to brighten every moment of my day! So sit back and get ready for the next 12 days of Chirstmas!
This is the first day and it is fabulously wrapped! I cannot express enough the immense amount of thought and talent that has gone into each of these packages. Not only is the wrapping impeccable, each and every one has a beautiful card and verse appropriate for that day. I am speechless and dumbfounded by their talent!
Do these ladies know me or what? I adore rubber duckies! I have been hoarding ducks of all different sizes, shapes and holiday seasons for some time. At first, I began buying them for all the different baby showers I have hosted for friends over the years. Now, my plans are to acquire all that I can and when I have my first child (one day) I am going to take their picture in the bathtub full of all the different ducks. Well, I guess if I never have children, maybe one of my dogs will do.
More birthday....
Oops, how could I forget, not only did I receive just my cute little high-heeled service pieces, I also got this wonderful cake plate! It is precious! a: I love anything pink and turquoise b: I love anything with a black and white trim c: I love anything with a party theme d: I love anything "the sisters" give to me!
Birthday Sweets!
Well, these little sweeties are the beginning of a whole list of birthday goodies I have received this month! I LOVE IT! Of course, they came from no one other than two very dear friends of mine "the sisters". They would also be the ones responsible for the fabulous flamingo lady tree. I do not know how they find such wonderful gifts in this little town of ours. I cannot wait to use these to serve with at my open house on Sunday! Thank you ladies for making my day and my birthday month so very special and memorable!
